My Life in Lomo #2

Back in July, I shared some of my favourite photos that I’d taken so far using my La Sardina Lomography camera. Now I’m back with another edition of ‘My Life in Lomo’ and this time I’m sharing some of the photos I’ve taken over the last few months. I’ve selected 9 of my favourite pictures (the rest were all quite samey… Jasmine on the swings, random beaches, blurry shots of the dog – that kind of thing!)

I think these pictures sum up our last few weeks of Summer pretty well…LOMO #1lomo 2LOMO3333

Which photo is your favourite?

Do you ever use film cameras?

Those photos are fabulous. I love the vibrant colours and look at that beautiful blue sky. We have been so fortunate with the weather over the past few months. My favourites are the photo of Jasmine on the beach with Heidi and Jasmine wearing the sunglasses. She is so cute and always so smiley in photos. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Aww thank you very much, Mrs H. :) The weather has been so lovely over the last few months that it ALMOST makes up for the lousy summer we had! ;) I love having these happy, smiley photos of my girl. xx

I love these photos, Jenna. We’re so used to sharp images now that we almost forget the nostalgic joy of old fashioned photos. I adore the one of the flags flying in the air. It evokes memories of the British seaside at its best.

Thank you, Rachel. My first reaction every time I open the envelope of photos is “Aghh, they’re all blurry!” and then I slowly remember that they aren’t meant to be perfect. That’s the whole point of lomo – you point, shoot and you get what you get at the end of it. I love the flag one for that very same reason. :) x

I love these photos – they remind of older photos, but in a good way! Especially the picture with all the seaside knick knacks on sale.

Thanks, Jade. I know what you mean – I have a slight fascination with seaside shops/stalls. They haven’t really changed since I was a kid so always bring back a lot of memories. xx

Thank you Jess – that’s such a lovely thing to say. My husband tells me that too but I don’t see it myself. I’m glad they made you smile, though. :) xx

Wow wow wow! These are fabulous photos Jenna! I love the dust and scratches and the warm colours, they’re just perfect. My favourite has to be the one of Jasmine and Heidi on the beach with that gorgeous sunflare in the bottom corner. Perfect! You’ve got me itching to try a Lomo camera now.

I don’t ever use film but love these photos! I used to have a lomo camera but I think it was a very basic one and the pics were no way as good as these, love the top one, and the way they look so natural and just that little bit retro! x

Thank you Julia – I always love waiting to see how they turn out – even if it means waiting weeks whilst I use up the film! Normally I’ve forgotten what I’ve taken photos of, which I guess is half the fun. xx
